SNSD officially has (1) Main Vocalist, Taeyeon. Though Tiffany had kinda defaulted into the slot when the 2nd main vocalist left the group in 2014. Officially though, SNSD's Lead Vocalists are Tiffany, Seohyun (3:35), and Sunny (3:30). Sooyoung (10:05), one of the lead dancers, has improved vastly and is kinda unofficially a Lead Vocalist too, being the only member to get an adlib in Forever 1 who's not in the vocal line and is often given harder lines over the other dancers.

I think your pronunciation of KokoroToIuNanoFukakai is mostly correct except you mistook the character 'I' (capital i) of 'Iu' as 'L', and pronounced 'Lu'. We do not use 'L' in the alphabetical expression for japanese statements. Fundamentally, Japanese can understand the pronunciation without any problem if you obey the following principles. 1. The same letters are pronounced with the same pronunciation. 2. The vowels A, I, and O are not read as diphthongs such as 'ei', 'ai', 'ou'. 3. A consonant + vowel, or a vowel alone, becomes one syllable and is read with the same length and the same strength. By the way, KokoroToIuNanoFukakai means "the incomprehensible thing called 'heart(kokoro)'." Kokoro(Heart) To(As) Iu(Say) Na(Name) no(of) Fukakai(incomprehensible). Further, Fu(Un, Not) ka (Possible) kai (Understand, Comprehend, Resolve, Seperate). 🙂

This whole album is fantastic, one of my faves!

The whole premise of tripleS is that they are a 24 member group that formed by adding new members over the course of the past 2 years. The group splits into subunits consisting of a near endless combination of members voted by the fans themselves, hence their slogan "The idol of all possibilities". This unit is called (KR)ystel Eyes. They will mostly be doing releases in subunits, but supposedly once a year they will do an OT24 release; the first of which in fact just came out today!

Great video. This is the group I listened too before mamamoo to get the vocals. back then it is BoA and some others but big mama is not a kpop group they are a vocal group. The story here is they disbanded in 2012, it was 2 long years before Mamamoo and 2014. All 4 went their own way, a couple of them to universities, though one of them was involved with a couple of the BTOB members and BTOB is just as good as Mamamoo and Big Mama for vocal talent. When this Dingo came out it was sort of for the students being taught, sort of a get back together to show the students they have that yeah they can still do it, do what they do etc... but they also reformed the group and the last song was in fact a brand new song released in 2022. They have said more will come. They also have another common experience with mamamoo, on appearance. For mamamoo they were told your ugly become the best vocalists. Big Mama were told a similar thing, not so pretty and were contractually barred from any sort of appearance enhancement(plastic surgery was very common back then) they were told they want the audiences to be focused on their vocals not appearance. So yeah even back then jackasses were being morons with women's appearances and clearly did not change by the time mamamoo came on the scene and basically forced the industry to reduce that stuff. Big Mama is definitely up with the best of the best vocal groups in the world, along with BTOB, Mamamoo and some others. On the plus side, groups and singers who have the extreme vocal talent like this can be around for decades, other talents may decline with age but vocals usually improve.

Krystal Eyes is a subunit. It consists of SeoYeon, Soomin, ChaeYeon, and Jiwoo. They formed at the same time Acid Angel from Asia was formed (from fan voting) . But they released a full member album, Assemble, in between the subunit releases.

Your favorite is ‘Lee Young-hyeon’. There are four female singers in Korea who are considered to be at the peak of their singing skills. They call them ‘divas’. This is one of them.

This is the middle of the 5 song relationship arc on her 6equence album. The point where relationship issues arise and she's being driven crazy by things. You really need to watch the 2nd Shutdown, a saphic anthem about the love getting physical with Seori. I also particularly like the first falling in love G999 with Mirani. And I hope you are going to react to the Colors performance video that Solar dropped a couple days ago.

This is my least favourite song off the album, I like it but I find it a bit repetitive.

Coincidently, I played this very MV a couple of hours ago, and remembered what a great pop song it is! Moonbyul is one of the most song credited artists in K-Pop as she writes all of the raps in Mamamoo songs in addition to her solo stuff. Incidently, there is also an English audio version on her album...

빅마마가 결성된 배경에 대한 이야기들을 조금 해보자면, 당시의 걸그룹들이 예쁘지만 일부 멤버들은 가창력 논란이 있어서 이걸 안타까워한 한 작곡가 그룹이 우리나라에도 정말 노래 잘하는 사람들로만 이뤄진 걸그룹을 만들어보자는 공감대가 형성되었다고 합니다. 그래서 아직 데뷔 안한 사람들 중에 왼쪽의 신연아를 중심으로 가창력이 뛰어나다 소문난 사람들을 모으게 되었고, 그렇게 결성된 그룹이 빅마마가 되었습니다. 사실 빅마마가 데뷔할 때 멤버들의 노래 실력은 매우 뛰어났지만, 그들이 좀 살이 많이 찐 편이었기에 날씬하고 예쁜 다른 걸그룹들과 경쟁할 수 있을까 하는 우려가 있었지만, 데뷔곡 break away 한 곡으로 큰 반향을 일으키고 사람들을 매료시켰습니다. 외모와 상관없이 노래 잘하면 사람들이 좋아한다는 걸 보여준 사례였죠. 빅마마라는 그룹명도 그들의 외모로 인해 소속사 사장이 지었다고 하는데 4번째에 있는 가장 어린 박민혜는 당시 그룹명을 듣고 상처받아 울음을 터트리기도 했었답니다. 3번째에 있는 이영현은 현재 우리나라에서 가장 노래를 잘 부르는 여자 가수 4명 중 한 명으로 불리며, 빅마마 해체 후 개별적인 활동 중 '나는 가수다' 라는 아주 인기 많았던 tv show에 출연해 큰 관심을 받았지만 그로 인해 극심한 무대 공포증을 겪어 활동을 중단한 적도 있었습니다. 하지만 빅마마 재결성 이후에는 마음의 안정을 찾고 지금은 꾸준히 활동중입니다. 제가 알기로는 4명 다 결혼은 했지만 신연아는 아이가 없고 나머지 세 명은 아이들 엄마라고 알고 있습니다. 4명 모두 실용음학과 학과장이나 교수를 역임하고 있어 일명 교수돌이라고 불리기도 합니다. 추가로 위에서 이야기한 가장 노래를 잘하는 여자 가수 4명 중 3명이 함께 발표한 프로젝트 앨범이 12~3년 전 쯤에 발매된 적 있는데 diva project 'mermaid'를 검색하면 보실 수 있습니다. 영상 중간에 초고음 애드립 구간이 시작되는 약 4~5초 가량은 이영현이 부른 부분인데 영상편집이 잘못되어 소향이 부른 것처럼 잘못 나와서 아쉬운 부분입니다.

Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun will never disappoint you in the sub-unit TTS. They are the history of K-pop sub-unit. Twinkle 2012, Holler 2014, Dear Santa 2015 and there are many more songs and videos that will impress you with the talent of these three ladies from K-pop history.

I know you already have a billion artists that you're working your way through already, but Lexie Liu featured on On Clap is well worth checking out as well in her own right. In particular, I think you might enjoy reacting to all of her 2022 Album The Happy Star (8 of the 12 tracks have full MVs and they're all great). 88rising has been quietly hoovering up a truly stellar set of acts from all over Asia and the Pacific for their artists' non-domestic performances and releases including (G)-IDLE, Lexie Liu, Bibi and Atarashii Gakko! (who you reacted to a few months ago), and so the collab here was probably because they are now all part of this agency, though of course they were also on KDA's More together as well.

A.C.E have been through so much to get theirselves out there because they are from a small company and that's why this song is so special for Choice! Apart from the sentiment, it still is such a great song <3

The leader is Shin Yeona (50) who recently got promoted to Dean status at Howon University. She was previously the Head of the Kpop department and 2 of her students are in the group BTOB. LEE, JiYoung (46), LEE, Young Hyun (44) wrote & composed the solo "Resignation" which derived from personal experience in college. It was one of their biggest hits and is the #1 song sang in karaoke bars today. Most people don't know she wrote that song! She is the most active amongst the other professors. PARK, Min-Hye (43) is the maknae, youngest of the group. She and LYH sings lots of duets in shows & programs. They are the OG of YG entertainment. They are known for the vocals; hence the name Big Mama (big voices). They didn't fit into the stereotypical skin frame girls/dancers back in the day. They started in 2003, disbanded in 2012 due to poor management and reunited in 2021 when they appeared here in Killing Voice. They just celebrated their 20 years in December 2023 with a 3-day concert. Your bias LYH gave birth last year May (2023) so they were on hiatus then and have some songs out. The way to become greatly into the song is to watch fancams from his current solo tour. That whole segment of the show, which includes Poppin’, has fun and colorful costumes (think cat ear beanies, graphic Ts, oversized ripped jeans, and little star stickers on his face) and everyone on stage is having a blast. This is in sharp contrast to some very sensual performances (and costumes). Taken together it really represents who he is as an artist and why he’s so successful as an artist and stage personality.
